[:nl]Vandaag introduceren we de zevende gast van onze steeds groter wordende gastenlijst. Zijn optredens op evenementen zijn schaars, dus zijn we verheugd dat hij volgende maand een bezoek zal brengen aan Echo Base Con. Graag verwelkomen wij Lee Towersey!
Op basis van de hoge kwaliteit van zijn zelfgebouwde R2-D2 werd Lee in 2013 uitgenodigd toe te treden tot het creature effects-team van Neal Scanlan voor de film Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. Daar werd hij verantwoordelijk voor het bouwen en besturen van R2-D2.
Ook voor de films Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi en Solo: A Star Wars Story werkte Lee aan de bouw en besturing van tal van droids, zoals BB-units, Mouse Droids en Power Droids.
In het nieuwste deel in de Star Wars-saga, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker, is Lee weer verantwoordelijk voor het tot leven wekken van R2-D2.

In 2013, Lee was asked to join Neal Scanlan’s creature effects team for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, based on the high quality of his home-built R2-D2. For that film, he was responsible for building and operating R2-D2.
For the subsequent films Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lee worked on building and operating numerous droids, such as BB-units, Mouse Droids and Power Droids.
Lee returned to work on the latest instalment in the Skywalker saga, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker, where again he brings R2-D2 to life.
Lee Towersey will be answering questions of visitors and taking part in a signing session at Echo Base Con.
