Few actors can claim to have left their mark on some of the most beloved franchises in film and television history, but Julian Glover is one of them. Born on March 27, 1935, he has enjoyed a career spanning over six decades, bringing to life unforgettable characters in Star Wars<\/em>, Indiana Jones<\/em>, Harry Potter<\/em>, Game of Thrones<\/em> and James Bond<\/em>. His commanding presence and distinctive voice have made him a favorite among fans worldwide.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back<\/em> (1980), Julian Glover took on the role of General Maximilian Veers, the ruthless Imperial officer who led the AT-AT assault on the Rebel base during the Battle of Hoth. His performance as the cold and calculating general, unwavering in his loyalty to the Empire, made a lasting impression on audiences. Even decades later, General Veers remains one of the most memorable military figures in the Star Wars<\/em>saga.<\/p>\n

Besides Star Wars<\/em> , Glover has played iconic villains and mentors alike. In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade<\/em> (1989), he portrayed the cunning Walter Donovan, whose greed led to his unforgettable demise after drinking from the wrong Holy Grail. He later appeared as the sinister Aragog in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets<\/em> (2002), lending his voice to the giant spider. More recently, he gained a new generation of fans as Grand Maester Pycelle in Game of Thrones<\/em>, masterfully portraying the seemingly frail yet deeply manipulative advisor to the Lannisters. Bond fans also remember him as the villainous Aristotle Kristatos in For Your Eyes Only<\/em> , a cold and calculating smuggler who posed a serious threat to Roger Moore\u2019s 007.<\/p>\n
