During the Behind the Armor panel at Echo Base Con, you'll get a unique behind-the-scenes look at four special cosplay groups and their impressive droids.
Members of the Dutch Garrison (501st Legion), Dune Sea Base (Rebel Legion), Diryc Vhetin (Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club), and the R2 Builders from the Netherlands and Belgium will share their stories. They’ll talk about how their costumes and droids came to life, with an eye for detail and a pursuit of screen-accurate perfection. From Darth Vader’s black cape to BB-8’s shiny chassis—behind each costume and droid is a story of dedication, craftsmanship, and love for a galaxy far, far away.
The panelists will also discuss life in their groups, their presence at events, and their efforts for causes like the KiKa Foundation. While their characters may belong to the 'dark side,' these groups often work in the real world for good causes.
