Josh Roth is an experienced Property Master and puppeteer with over two decades of work in the film and television industry. Born in Colombia and now based in Los Angeles, he has contributed to an impressive range of major productions, including The Mandalorian (2019), The Book of Boba Fett (2021), Ahsoka (2023), and the upcoming feature film The Mandalorian & Grogu (2026).

As a member of the Property Master Guild, SAG-AFTRA, and IATSE, Josh combines expert craftsmanship and technical precision with a deep passion for storytelling. On The Mandalorian , he designed and built all the props—including weapons inspired by World War II firearms—helping to shape the show’s distinctive tone, which blends space opera, westerns, and samurai cinema.

One of the personal highlights of his career was designing and building Ahsoka’s lightsaber. Josh also served as lead puppeteer for R5-D4 across several series and played a key role in bringing Chopper to life in Season 1 of Ahsoka. Together with his team, he worked closely with Legacy Effects and others to breathe life into a wide range of droids on screen.
