Julian Glover is known to Star Warsfans worldwide for his role as General Maximilian Veers in The Empire Strikes Back (1980). As the commanding officer of the AT-AT assault on Hoth, he led one of the most memorable battles in the saga. But his career spans far beyond the galaxy far, far away.
Glover has appeared in some of the most iconic franchises in film and television history. He played the treacherous Walter Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), the villainous Aristotle Kristatos in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only (1981), and voiced Aragog in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002). More recently, he captivated audiences as Grand Maester Pycelle in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
