At Echo Base Con 2025, we’re excited to welcome a special guest to the stage: Josh Roth, an experienced Property Master and puppeteer who has made his mark in the Star Wars galaxy.
With over twenty years of experience in film and television, Josh has worked on major productions The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka , and the upcoming feature film The Mandalorian & GroguIn this exclusive panel, he’ll take you behind the scenes of these beloved series, sharing how he designed and built some of their most iconic props – from WWII-inspired weapons to Ahsoka’s lightsaber.

He’ll also dive into his work as a puppeteer. Josh helped bring droids like R5-D4 and Chopper to life on screen and worked closely with teams like Legacy Effects to make these characters truly believable.
