Archive: Echo Base Charity Con 2019 is a wrap!

Echo Base Charity Con 2019 is behind us. Ten months of preparation led on 21 December to a day filled to the brom with Star Wars.

Thanks to the Charity Auction via Catawiki, the charity screening of The Rise of Skywalker and the charity lottery, we have raised more than 10.000 euros for Stichting Kinderen Kankervrij (KiKa). And this time we not only raised money for KiKa, we were also honored that we could fulfill a wish for the Stichting Doe een Wens. To everyone who has contributed to this, we would like to give our thanks.

Our big thanks to our ten amazing, diverse guests in front and behind the camera on all Star Wars films: Lorne Peterson, Matthew Wood, Michael Pennington, Brian Herring, Kiran Shah, Angus MacInnes, Katy Kartwheel, Tom Wilton, Paul Brooke and Lee Towersey. Also our thanks to Lego Star Wars Designer Niels M. Frederiksen, our Scruffy Looking Nerf Herders Dennis Mons, Ruud Jolie, Roderick Vonhögen & Arie Koomen, our brilliant host Brainpower, all cosplayers, propmakers, drone flyers and exhibitors, and not to forget: to all visitors. Between all of you, you have made the fifth edition of Echo Base Con a great success!
