Exactly three years ago today, the fifth edition of Echo Base Charity Con took place. Once again, the largest Star Wars event in the Benelux was completely sold out before it started.
As usual, guests from 40 years of Star Wars history were present, including Lorne Peterson (the Oscar-winning model shop supervisor of Industrial Light + Magic), Michael Pennington (Moff Jerjerrod in Return of the Jedi in his very first convention appearance in continental Europe) and Skywalker Sound employee Matthew Wood (nominated no less than five times for an Oscar!). The charity screening this time was of the brand new latest installment in the Skywalker-saga: The Rise of Skywalker.
This edition focused on Dutch Children Cancer-free Foundation (KiKa) and afterwards we were able to hand over an amount of no less than 11,375.74 euros to this wonderful charity.
