[:nl]Vandaag voegen we de negende gast toe aan onze gastenlijst. We zijn verheugd een oude bekende terug te zien: Brian Herring keert terug naar Echo Base Con!
In 2015 maakten we kennis met de coole nieuwe droid BB-8, die direct goed in de smaak viel bij de fans. BB-8 werd voor een aantal scènes door middel van CGI gerealiseerd, maar in de meeste gevallen was BB-8 een “echte” robot die door acteur en poppenspeler Brian Herring tot leven werd gewekt. Hij vervulde deze taak niet alleen voor The Force Awakens en The Last Jedi, maar heeft dit ook gedaan voor de nieuwste Star Wars-film, The Rise of Skywalker.
Brian werkte daarnaast ook aan Rogue One, waarin hij onder meer te zien is als droid SE-2, en aan Solo – A Star Wars Story.

[:en]Today we add our ninth guest to our guest list. We are thrilled to welcome back an old acquaintance: Brian Herring!
In 2015 we got to know the cool new droid BB-8, who instantly became a fan favorite. BB-8 was realised by CGI for a number of scenes, but in most cases BB-8 was an “actual” robot who was brought to life by actor and puppeteer Brian Herring. He didn’t just fulfil this task for The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, but also for the upcoming film The Rise of Skywalker.
Besides that Brian also worked on Rogue One, in which he among other things can be seen as the droid SE-2 and on Solo – A Star Wars Story.
